Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about the Indeed Sponsored (aka paid) job ad option on the Post to Job Boards page.
What if I already have an Indeed employer account?
If you already have an established Indeed.com account, any jobs you select to sponsor from within your applicant tracking account will also appear in your Indeed account dashboard as sponsored. You can track the performance of these jobs by visiting indeed.com/hire. You can also contact Indeed to optimize your campaigns.
What if I don't have an Indeed employer account yet?
If it is the first time you are sponsoring a job with the Indeed billing email address you entered, you will receive an email from firstname.lastname@example.org prompting you to complete the setup of your account with a password and credit card. Once you complete this step, you can sponsor jobs on Indeed from your applicant tracking software account at any time following the steps indicated above.
I haven't received an email yet after the first job I've posted to Indeed Sponsored. What do I do?
You should receive an activation email from email@example.com within 6 hours of posting your job to the Indeed Sponsored option for the first time through our platform. If you do not receive this email within 6 hours of posting your job through our platform, please visit billing.indeed.com to verify or complete your account setup.
Do I have to wait for the email from Indeed every time I post a job?
Nope! You only need to set up your Indeed employer account once. With every subsequent job you post, your job will automatically be posted to your Indeed employer account within 6 hours. Why 6 hours? That's how often Indeed processes our feed. Any job you post to Indeed is added to our feed immediately to avoid any delay with Indeed picking it up the next time they process the feed.
How will I be charged?
Indeed will process payment directly. Part of the Indeed employer account setup will include a prompt for you to set up a default credit card payment method. If you prefer to utilize an insertion order instead, you can work with your Indeed account representative to set that up. You will not be charged the full amount up front - your job advertising spend accrues toward the budget as job seekers click on the job title. If, for example, you find that perfect candidate but your job has only spent $250 of your $300 budget, you can end your campaign for that job and you will only be charged the amount spent, which is $250 in this example.
How do I end a campaign early?
There are two ways to end a campaign early:
1) In your ATS Platform: You can end an Indeed job sponsorship campaign early at any time by going to the Post to Job Boards page for the job whose campaign you wish to end. Within the Currently Active report box at the top of the page, you should see Indeed listed under the Paid Postings header. Click on the end campaign link next to Indeed. Once you end your campaign in this manner, we will update our feed to Indeed immediately. Indeed processes the feed every 6 hours so it may take up to 6 hours for your campaign to end on the Indeed side.
2) On the Indeed portal: For immediate results, you can end your campaign right in your Indeed employer account.

How can I see if my jobs are live?
You can log into your Indeed employer account at ads.indeed.com where you'll be taken right to your Indeed job dashboard. You'll be able to view your job's status on your Indeed dashboard.
Why am I not receiving candidates?
The most common reason for not receiving candidates is that you haven't set up billing yet on your Indeed employer account. Billing can be set up at billing.indeed.com.
